Are you moved by landscape architecture?  Do you like considering possibilities for what to make of land and gardens?  Nestled between Sonoma and Napa Valleys is one of our favorite gardens for meandering and pondering- called Cornerstone Sonoma. Cornerstone is a series of 1,800 square foot garden parcels that have been commissioned to some of the best landscape architects and designers from near and far- all surrounding shops and a fabulous wine bar.

The designers were given free reign to play- resulting in traditional gardens, conceptual installations, and everything in between.  While each of the parcels stands strong on it’s own, the conversation that is created by their proximity to one another is worth a special trip- and special consideration.  We especially appreciate the work of Planet Horticulture and John Greenlee.

So go on, grab a friend and a glass of wine and see what is new in the world of landscape design.  The gardens are open from 10 am to 4 pm and they are available for special events.  Here is a photo from a magical wedding we helped with there last summer.
