A recent collaboration with Blueprint Studios resulted in bursts of pink. Held at the Westin St. Francis and symbolizing San Francisco’s own Ghirardelli Square ~ these flowers evoked feelings of strawberry ice cream sundaes and they even made us drool a bit.

May your weekend be filled with sweet bursts of color.

If you were to wander to the side of Stable Cafe, just past a shipping container topped with a garden grown by yours truly, you will find Saison.  Saison (French for season) is a reservations-only restaurant that opens its doors on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Saison Floral Centerpiece

evenings to serve the locally sourced menu of Executive Chef Joshua Skenes with the discerning and cultivated wine pairings of Sommelier Mark Bright. The feel is secret supper club meets informed elegance.  The experience is one of both intimacy and invitation: the tables are small and candle-lit while the kitchen is open and guests can be a part of the culinary magic with wine in hand.

Cardboard flexible seats, extra large bean bag chairs, and mirrored tables — held the guests — who enjoyed comfort food by Living Room Events and a striking combination of touchable & prickly flowers furnished by Lila B. Design.

Soft: silver, Lamb’s Ear, red Amaranth, and white Blushing Bride.
Prickly: Castor Bean.

…and many thanks to Stable Cafe — for the beautiful photography backdrop – pre SFMOMA delivery.

Toss flowers cut straight from the garden into a ball jar filled with water. Choose a color palette that contrasts or complements, textures that are bold and fluffy. Mix it up. Don’t be shy; gorgeousness will shine.
